Considerando o marco normativo-constitucional do instituto da iniciativa popular, e, em vista das dificuldades para sua implementação, a Câmara dos Deputados, o Senado Federal e as Assembleias Legislativas de diversos Estados brasileiros, estabeleceram suas Comissões de Legislação Participativa. Tais comissões foram concebidas como mecanismos institucionais, permanentes, para viabilização da tramitação de proposições legislativas originadas de entidades da sociedade organizada, privilegiando, pois, a participação popular. O artigo pretende expor as experiências com participação popular na Assembleia Legislativa do Estado de Sergipe, a partir da criação de sua Comissão de Legislação Participativa (2007), que, não obstante, serem ainda incipientes, apresentam perspectivas de crescimento em face das novas ferramentas digitais, gerando maior responsividade.

POPULAR PARTICIPATION AND RESPONSIVENESS: THE EXPERIENCE OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY’S PARTICIPATORY LEGISLATION COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF SERGIPE
Considering the normative-constitutional framework of the institute of the popular initiative, and, in view of the difficulties for its implementation, the Chamber of Deputies, the Federal Senate and the Legislative Assemblies of several Brazilian States, established their Participatory Legislation Commissions. Such commissions were conceived as permanent, institutional mechanisms to facilitate the processing of legislative proposals originating from entities of organized society, thus favoring popular participation. The article intends to expose the experiences with popular participation in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Sergipe, from the creation of its Participatory Legislation Commission (2007), which, despite being still incipient, present prospects for growth in the face of new digital tools, generating greater responsiveness.
