NOTES FROM A JOURNEY IN THE CITIZEN PUBLIC PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE – STATE OF SERGIPE
This article presents a retrospective of the author’s professional journey in the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Sergipe, spanning more than three decades of public service. The narrative covers the academic formation and the initial steps in the legal career, as well as the main challenges and institutional achievements, with emphasis on the work developed in the defense of diffuse and collective rights, particularly in the areas of environmental protection, urban planning, and public heritage. The article also highlights the historical and family aspects that shaped the author’s commitment to public service. The final reflection discusses the role of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the face of new environmental, social, and institutional challenges of the 21st century.
