O presente artigo científico analisa as mudanças realizadas na Constituição do Estado de Sergipe, operadas pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal no julgamento de quinze ações de controle concentrado de constitucionalidade, que invalidaram alguns de seus dispositivos, a fim de observar se houve a aplicação do princípio da simetria, como este princípio foi aplicado, e se esse cenário se adequa ao modelo de federalismo adotado pela atual Constituição Federal.

APPLICATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF SYMMETRY BY THE FEDERAL SUPREME COURT IN THE TRIAL OF DEVICES OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF SERGIPE
This scientific article analyzes the changes made to the Constitution of the State of Sergipe by the Federal Supreme Court in the judgment of fifteen ac- tions of concentrated control of constitutionality, which invalidated some of its provisions, in order to observe whether the principle of symmetry was applied, how this principle was applied, and whether this scenario is in line with the model of federalism adopted by the current Federal Constitution.
