INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN BRAZIL: ADVANCES AND CHALLENGES IN PUBLIC POLICIES, ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGIES AND COMMUNICATION
This article examines the evolution and obstacles in inclusive education in Brazil. It aims to integrate all students into regular schools, offering the su- pport necessary for their full participation. The text explores progress from the creation of public policies, such as the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), to the role of assistive technologies and alternative communication. Although there have been significant advances, challenges persist, such as inadequate teacher training, lack of resources and infrastructure, and cultural resistan- ce. The solution requires a collaborative effort between government, schools and society to ensure quality inclusive education.
